Prayers
Prayer -A soul arms itself by prayer for all kinds of combat. In whatever state the soul may be, it ought to pray. A soul which is pure and beautiful must pray, or else it will lose its beauty; a soul which is striving after this purity must pray, or else it will never attain it; a soul which is newly converted must pray, or else it will fall again; a sinful soul, plunged in
sins, must pray so that it might rise again. There is no soul which is not bound to pray, for every single grace comes to the soul through prayer.
–St. Faustina
Prayer is not for God- it doesn’t make Him more Godly, or increase His power or authority. Prayer is for us. It unites us to an all-powerful and loving God. It allows us to connect to Him and ease our burdens. Prayer and worship in its most basic form are really ways for us to allow God into our hearts and lives, and to grow closer to Him; in turn giving Him authority and presence in our lives. Letting His will become my will, first comes from spending time with Him to better understand His divine will for my life. Prayer is the gift I give myself. Controversial, I know! When I connect to God, whether in vocal prayer, meditation, worship, spiritual reading I become more of the person God intended me to be.

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen. St. Augustine
I love You, O my God, and my only desire is to love You until the last breath of my life. I love You, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving You, than live without loving You. – St John Vianny
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ at my right, Christ at my left,
Christ in the fort,
Christ in the chariot seat,
Christ in the mighty stern,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me. – St. Patrick
Litany of Humility
O Jesus, meek and humble of heart!
Jesus, hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being loved, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being sought, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being honored, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being praised, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being preferred, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being consulted, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being approved, Deliver me, Jesus,
From the desire of being considered, Deliver me, Jesus,
From the fear of being humbled, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being despised, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being rebuffed, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged, Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected, Deliver me, Jesus.
That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may be esteemed more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may grow in the opinion of the world and I diminish, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may be employed and I set aside, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may be praised and I forgotten, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may be preferred before me in everything, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
That others may be more holy than I, provided I am as holy as I can be, Jesus, grant me the grace to wish.
O Mary, Mother of the humble, pray for me.
St. Joseph, patron of the humble, pray for me.
St. Michael, who first crushed pride, pray for me.
St. Francis, imitator of a master meek and humble, pray for me.
All ye holy spirits sanctified by humility, pray for me.
Dear Jesus, help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others. Amen. Mother Teresa
My mission statement
I am created for you!
I find my purpose in you.
I was created for praise of your Holy Name.
I was created to walk in Your light and grace,
To shine your light in the midst of darkness.
To be a beacon to guide others to you.
I was created to receive you and be one with you.
To be aware of this oneness,
To open the doors of the tabernacle of my heart where I know you are enthroned.
To bring your blessing and anointed presence everywhere I go.
I was created to love you in all your children,
Especially the most forgotten.
I was created to serve you with every fiber of my being.
When I feel well and especially when I am drained and tired-
For that is when you call me most.
You drain the last dregs of me then refill me to overflowing
With your love, peace, joy, grace and forgiveness.
Jesus let me live the graces I was created for-
The anointing of my baptism; of Priest, Prophet and King.
Let me be fully one with you
And be filled with all the gifts of The Holy Spirit,
So that through your signs and wonders I can bring souls to you.
Let my joy bring you souls
Let my suffering and tears bring you souls
Let my life be yours.
Use every last bit of me to sow seeds that you will harvest.
Let me be Love.
